What is an Administration Deal?
A music publishing administration deal is a type
of agreement set up where there is publishing supervision for a percentage of income. This type of deal is usually made by
a major music publisher to supervise a smaller publisher's song copyrights and financials.
The administrator does not necessarily own part of
the song's copyright, even though 1 co-publisher could administer a different co-publisher's share.
